Innovative urban NW DC Middle/High School has immediate opening for a maintenance/custodial position. Must have at least 5 years experience working maintenance and custodial work. Applicants must be comfortable working in a middle and high school environment. Our institution is a professional learning community dedicated to high academic achievement for our students as well as high standards for staff and faculty.

To be considered qualified for this position, candidates must perform the following:

• Interface daily with faculty and staff regarding their maintenance needs.
• Must be courteous, reliable, efficient and organized.
• Must perform duties in a timely manner.
• Excellent time management skills
• Performs basic maintenance duties.
• Collects and disposes of trash from trash cans.
• Performs grounds maintenance duties, parking lots and driveways.
• Performs minor equipment repair and preventive maintenance duties as instructed.
• May be required to lift and move heavy objects.
• Must be friendly and people oriented.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
