At CHEC, we intentiionally partner with individuals and organizations who are already vested in preparing tomorrow's leaders today. These partnerships shape our approach to teaching our students in creative and often unexpected ways. This benefits our students, who learn new perspectives and essential skills that go far beyond what our teachers can impart or our school budget can accomplish. We very much strive to putting students’ passions into action while they’re still in high school.
Our partners are the foundation of our claim to a rigorous and relevant curriculum because they do far more than give tours of their facilities or guest lectures in our classes; they sit in on our student Portfolio Presentations, organize career fairs and take on internships. Many even provide college scholarships. Some work actively alongside faculty to build out rich inquiry-based projects that have real relevance in our community and the career fields of students. Others are instrumental in our tutoring and mentoring programs, using their expertise in their chosen fields to help our students make informed decisions about college and careers.
