CHEC ACHIEVES 3 STAR RATING AS A CAMPUS,
MIDDLE SCHOOL ACHIEVES 4 STARS

The STAR Ratings for SY 18-19 were just released, and CHEC has reason to celebrate! We once again achieved 3 star status as a combined campus, the High School achieved 3 stars, and our Middle School once again achieved 4 star status!! Our overall score as a campus was 58.12. We are only 2 points away from achieving 4 star status as a Campus!
The middle school rating increased over two points, from 63.26 to 65.77!
OTHER POINTS OF PRIDE:
- Out of 108 DCPS Public Schools, CHEC is one of 67 schools that got a 3+ Rating
- The Middle School is one of only 5 middle schools that got 4+ Ratings
- The Combined Score for CHEC is only 2 points away from a Overall Rating of 4 (60 is a 4)
- Our AP Participation Rate achieved one of the highest scores in the city, and at 98.56% is 33 points above the average
- Our ACCESS for ELL growth in High School is 15% above the average for the City
- In Middle School, our Median Growth Percentiles in both ELA and Math were among the highest in the city
- In Middle School, our Growth to Proficiency in Math is one of the highest in the City
- Performance fof our students with disabilities increased in College and Career Readiness by 12% and in SAT by 12%!!
